I have, often wondering how people started to believe in God and what makes people continue to believe.

I dont really know y i bilieve n God. I guess it would b kinda wierd not believing in God. ive been taught to believe in God all my life, so i gues its just natural.
i think people believe in God because they are afraid of going to hell. I have known God nearly my whole life.

i think people believe in god because sometimes there scared of what they are to themselves. But other true believers believe for benifits and better lives for loved ones and for people around them. But the very few that do that are usually taking the benefit as an expected prize and should take it as an i dont deserve this i did what i was called on to do. I think they get enough of a prize getting jesus in there life.
i think that if we do not beleive in God there would be a feeling that there is something missing
God has many ways that he puts us in distraction from him and this is one of them....."Why do you believe in God"? Many People would say i don't know or the bible says so... God wants us to follow Him, but everyone has there own ways of connecting with God, some slower than others, and all of them ask who is God and is he real? When you find out life seems alot easyer.. but "why do i believe in God" is very hard to answer because everyone has different thinking patterns and I think we all will accept God one way or other because thats what our teachers want for us(the best in life) God has giving many talents for a reason and some of those talents might answer this one day... no one knows where you will be in 10 years, might be the person who makes God's name clear to all or you could just be a guy standing on the street holding a bible... anywhere you are God has a plan... I keep believeing because I have no reason not to.. but you might not even know why you do, thats why before you start typing you should pray and see what God leads you to.. Then ask people what they think, then see why you still believe..
When i was young God was just there and i didn't know anytheng about him but as i grew older i found out all his power.. wow.. thats all i could say when God came into my life when i was 12..
I'm not the best example of God working in my life but as i said before i think andrew kyle is the closest to God.....
rapping it all together God is there for you, just reach out... His's calling you, pick up the phone and talk to Him.....

i believe in god for two reasons.
the first is because, yes, i coware in the face of hell.
the second is because i have see so many miracles in my life and it shows me first hand his power.

i ask myself that question every once in a while and it makes me wonder if i had a choice at the beggining of my life would i have chosen God? to be truthfulli probobly would not have chosen God over something like buddhism to think okay i can worship this dude whos been dead for like 2000 years or worship someone i can see and touch its really a no brainer but after hearing about Christ you think WOW!!!! but then you thinkagain is it just a bedtime story so i might believe in God to stay out of hell or just go with the flow

I have asked myself that before. The only reason I think some peole believe in God is because they don't want to go to hell. I still believe in him though because I have known him almost my whole life.
I don't really know why, but I guess its just on faith. I have kind of grown up and church so I was taught to believe in God. It will be interesting when we're done with the video to see if any ones opinoin has changed. Truthfully i really don't know why I believe in God, but I do know why i have faith in Him and obey Him.
I love what Eli said, when i was little, I got saved because I didn't want to go to hell, and I still do that a little, but now I know that u should trust and believe in God because he died on the cross to save my sins and has answered my prays many many many times
I think people believe in God just as a way so they don't go to hell. Some oeople think they can get to heaven by good works and they don't realy believe in God. I believe in God because partly because I was brought up learning about him. As I have gotten older I Believe even more because has worked in my life. I think people also believe in God because it says 90% of the world are Christians so they feel like they have to. I also believe it is partly because they know something is out there so they put God and the Bible as that thing until they find what it realy is, which is God.

i think people believe in God mainly because they do not want to go to hell. however there are also many ways other people believe in god. for instance, i know a person who believed in god just so he could take communion! thankfully he does not do that anymore but some people might be doing the same thing he is doing. also people sometimes dont know really what to believe so they just decide to believe in god without having any knowledge of him or who he is. others believe there is a god who really created our universe so they believe in god because of that. the majority however just do not want to go to HELL!!!!

I agree with eli because im afraid of going to hell. The main reason I believe in God is because I have been brought up by my parents to believe in Him and I have been taught to read the Bible and the bible says that God is the only way to get to heaven.

i think people believe in God because they do not belive in what some people say about certain things thta happen in the world, a lot of people do it just because they thiik they will go 2 heaven and they are triying to fill the gap in themselves. however people are being pressured by people such as scientists who mostly dont believe in God
I believe in God becuz i grew up around around God loving people and they taught me to love God and believe in him, so that explains how i first started to believe in God, but i continued to believe in him becuz when i would pray to him and he would answer my prayers, i knew that it wasnt some coincident, that it was God and his miracles.
I think we do believe in God because it is natural, but there is one other reason; in the bible it says we have to have faith. I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes I just know God is there. I also have the fear of going to hell. There are lots of reasons, but I belive the main reason should be because you love the Lord.

Way 2 be Jesse! I love what Jesse said about how people believe in him just so they hav something to believe in without any knowlede about who he is and what he can do. And i luv what pretty much everybobdy said about how people believe in God just so they can go to heaven, but i would think that if that was the only reason they believed in Him and didnt even do anything to glorify him then He wouldnt count that and send them to hell, but i dont know how He judges that but that is just what i think
i believe in God, because i grew up in the church, and all my family members were christians. i've always been memorizing versus, and studying it, so i wouldn't know what to do if i didn't believe in God.

I THINK people believe in GOD because they are told about all the awesome think hes done through the BIBLE.

We believe in God because he is supreme. If you were part of a club, would you believe the founder of the club, who had all authority; or the mascot, who has little or no power? We would all believe in the founder, because he made it. The same thing with God, but on a larger scale: He has no beginning and no end. He made us and loves us unconditionally. He can do anything.
Another reason why we believe in God is because he sent His ONLY son to die for us. Let's see you in 20 years sending your son to die in agonizing pain, being mocked and tortured by another human.
Robert, I agree with you. We will have a feeling of emptiness. We need God to live with a purpose. Jeremiah 29:11 says this:
"I know the plans I have for you says the Lord...to give you a future and a hope."
We should remember that we all have purpose in God, and no hope without God.
i think people first started beliving in God by reading it was passed on from generations. i also think that people chose to belive in God because that seams like its the most belivebal relign and every one has a religin even if they say they dont.

I believe in God because humans need to have something to worship. They have to have a higher being to look up to and to love. My parents' influence when I was younger sparked my love for God, and then I developed a personal relationship with Him when I was 7. To this day, I live to honor and serve Him.
Yesh, just like I said before, Kameron is right. Our parents' influence when we were kids were a huge part of it. The rest of it was God working in us, and us choosing to accept him into our hearts. :D
i believe because God can do some pretty awesome things!! its amazing when i pray for something and then all of the sudden it just happens, no matter what it is! He supplies every one of my needs so i dont have a reason not to believe

i think i believe in god because of FAITH and i do agree with some people about miracles not only did they happen back in bible times but they just happen now to it shows the power of prayer and FAITH. just recently a miracle happend in my familys life.....my brothers girlfriend fell 40 fett off of a cliff and had major brain swellind and brain damage and a few months later is now walking......she continues to increase...... that is just one.

i think we belive because we know that all this couldnt have just happened by chance so we cant just have come and been alive like evolution suggests we thought that beliving would get a good life good crops ect i think that we should just liuve for God and not just keep praying, and beliving only
